
The Association provides support for its Queensland members from an office located in Toowong, Brisbane.
The Queensland Branch Committee generally meets on Thursdays in the third week on February, April, June, August and October.
The Branch Committee elects a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary & Sub-Committee Chairmen annually.
A small Queensland Executive Management Committee addresses day-to-day issues between Branch Committee meetings.
The Branch has sub-committees addressing detailed issues and meet approximately every two months:
Specifications, technical standards, new products and systems, spray sealing, asphalt supply, quality & performance issue. System development and
client specification reviews,participation in project & system trials.
Safety of the workplace, healthy working and environmental awareness, incident reporting, changes in legislation and regulation, projects related to
HSE, supporting training against national VET competencies, delivery of the Bituminous Surfacing - Principles & Practices course. The committee
also releases Safety Alerts to keep members up-to-date on incidents and remedial actions.
Driven by the elected representative of the Queensland Associate members this committee supports and organises the social and communications
events of the Branch. These include the Annual Golf Day, the End-of-Year function, the Mid-Year Social function and three Communications Forums
including acknowledge speakers.
Provides a formal link to the activities of kindred organisations in Queensland including:
Queensland Major Contractors Association, Civil Construction Federation - Queensland, Engineers Australia, Roads Australia, Queensland Civil
Infrastructure Alliance
Develops material promoting the interests of members, participates in the Annual Transport and Main Roads Engineering Technology Forum,
provides industry enhancing publications to members and their clients

The Branch is in an Alliance whose purpose is to work together to achieve superior flexible pavements for the community which will ensure
best value for Queensland and a sustainable business environment for AAPA Members. This is to be achieved through collaboration
